PURCHASING COORDINATOR'S JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter and place purchase orders with vendors
- Track and report manufacturer lead times, ship dates, and other scheduling data
- Oversee ‘Purchasing’ e-mails, print out the related invoices and forwarding to the related persons who need to deal with and respond to and check order status on a daily basis
- Process purchasing, performing typing, copying and other administrative assignments as assigned, including answering phones
- Track ‘drop ship’ customer orders and update tracking info
- Computer/data entry input
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that orders are processed appropriately and promptly
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Review pricing when submitting orders and processing invoices
- Answer phones regarding internet order status in a timely and polite manner
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
PURCHASING COORDINATOR'S SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Experienced level in purchasing preferred
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, ability to establish reports, project a professional tone and provide clear concise information
- Good interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers
- Detail oriented
- Good memory skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in computer skills and data entry skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Sales, etc.
- Attendance/Punctuality
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and aligns with the company’s core values.
