Description
General Definition:
- Responsible for all bartenders guest checks, tip outs, and buffet stickers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Handles cash and makes correct change for bartenders on cash tickets.
- Closes all bartenders tickets to correct tender.
- Pays out gratuities equitably to bartenders.
- Accepts leftover buffet stickers and credits correct number to waitstaff.
- Reconciles cash drawers and cash sheets.
- Picks up and drops off bank and cash sheets to Food & Beverage money room.
- Organizes and delivers paperwork to night auditor.
- Informs night auditor of any problems during shift either verbally or in writing before clocking out for the day.
- Consistently and accurately follows cash handling and financial responsibility procedures.
- Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or mandatory work days as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical; or 1 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess good organization skills.
- Basic math.
- Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interact positively with coworkers and management.
- Ability to prioritize time so that work is accomplished on a dependable basis; is reliable and committed to meeting schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, including being proactive and resourceful, working independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to win confidence and gain respect through consistent demonstrations of personal courtesy, tact and timely responsiveness.
Training:
- One year of cashier experience required
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
