What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Engineer (Civil - Geotechnical) position at Global Geotechnical Consultants?
Global Geotechnical is looking for a professional engineer (Geotechnical). You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of Global. The primary duties of the Geotechnical Engineer include performing investigations and evaluations to develop design recommendations, and assist in the preparation of design plans and specifications using traditional and alternative delivery methods. More-specific duties include developing subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs, shallow and deep foundation analyses, slope stability analysis, subgrade evaluations, soil and rock cut slope designs, and preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other reporting documents. Abilities at this level with task/project management functions and preparation of technical and price proposals are a plus. The candidate should be capable of working independently and accurately, with minimal supervision
- Required Qualifications
- MS in geotechnical engineering preferred.
- Should have passed the fundamental of Engineering Exams (FE/EIT)
- 4 years of related experience in Geotechnical Engineering Consulting Experience
- A PE is preferred or should be able to obtain a PE License within a year
- Experience with MS Office, GINT, STABL/Slide, LPILE, Slope/W, and other technical programs a plus
