Our manufacturing & distribution facilities are located strategically throughout the United States to provide our retail partners with the highest quality products and optimized service levels.
We are a mature but growing company headquartered in Seattle, WA and currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Manager at our plant located in Reynolds, IN. Global Harvest Foods, Reynolds, is a large-scale facility for grain storage, cleaning and packaging of several types of materials and equipment from manual operations to high-tech robotics.
The primary tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure all trucks are correctly received and loaded at facility
- Accurately and completely process all paperwork for inbound and outgoing trucks
- Quality control – ensure all product shipped is in good condition
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Work with inventory management software and hardware
- Supervise shipping and receiving employees
- Responsible for training employees on forklift driving, company procedures, and all shipping functions
- Maintain a neat and clean warehouse
- At-large member of the facilities safety committee
- Order Chep pallets
- Conduct cycle counts
- Certify forklift operators
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure all ingredients appear to be free from contamination
- Ensure the scales used have been calibrated each morning
- Ensure the proper specifications are met with each product
- Verify that all records are updated on the server and all documents are complete
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years supervisory experience
- Strong supervisory skills
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Experience with handheld and truck mounted hardware, palletizing equipment; bulk mixing equipment and packaging equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and Internet Explorer and the understanding of automated packing machines and it’s software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and team-oriented, with strong communication skills
