Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Opioid Addiction Treatment Clinic
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team at an outpatient opioid addiction treatment clinic. Specializing in Suboxone treatment, our clinic integrates harm reduction principles with a holistic approach to care, promoting long-term recovery and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals receiving treatment for opioid use disorder.
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including interpreting laboratory results.
- Prescribe and manage buprenorphine (Suboxone) treatment in compliance with ASAM Guidelines.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including care managers, front desk staff, and other healthcare providers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients on harm reduction strategies, medication adherence, and overall health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Stay informed of current best practices in addiction medicine and integrative care.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania
Experience
- At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in primary care, addiction medicine or adult medicine.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems and other technical tools for efficient patient care.
- Experience working with underserved populations or those with complex medical and social needs (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassionate care.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
