Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in various environments, including hospitals and commercial facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all occupants and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Sanitate restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to ensure compliance with safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Conduct floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by management.
- Ensure that all areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote a safe environment.
Skills
- Experience in environmental services or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in hospital or commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
