Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the lifecycle of a project from initiation through execution, delivery, and close out. This includes coordination of teams and tasks for successful development and execution of project plans requiring signification coordination and collaboration across organizational departments and external stakeholders. Project Managers will partner with project leaders and sponsors to define the vision, critical success factors, and roadmap for projects. They will lead projects through their life cycle to deliver results to the company, our partners, and most importantly, our patients.
The Project Manager role requires a person who is action and results-oriented, a "take-charge" leader with strong communication skills (written and spoken), leadership, negotiating and business case development skills. They will need to anticipate obstacles and proactively manage solutions to mitigate or eliminate them.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Effective Communication—project managers must effectively lead and communicate with their teams as well as stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of a project.
2. Organization and Time Management—project managers must handle the organization and delegation of tasks. They must also ensure that all project materials and deliverables are completed on time. This may include the creation of content and materials such as analytic slides, executive summaries, etc.
3. Creative Problem Solving and Adaptability—project managers must understand how to resolve issues and adapt their projects creatively to avoid mishaps and losses.
4. Motivation and Team Management—project managers must ensure their stakeholders and team members stay motivated throughout a project’s lifecycle. Moreover, they must be able to manage their team to ensure top-quality results and on-time completion of project deliverables.
- Facilitates a variety of initiatives including workflow redesigns, lean process improvement, patient experience optimization, strategic growth opportunities, and creation of structured communication and presentations.
- Works with designated project leads and project sponsors to develop project charters including scope, budget, resources, participants, timelines, milestones, metrics, and approval pathways.
- Establish clear decision making and communication processes for project launch. Provides ongoing communication and stakeholder management.
- Works with project lead and other participants to identify resources needed for a project.
- Supports the project lead to manage the scope, schedule, costs while planning for quality, resources, procurements, risk, stakeholder engagement and communication during the project life cycle to facilitate a successful project launch and delivery.
- Prioritizes and delegates tasks to members of the project team providing clear deliverables and deadlines. Provides reminders of assignments coming due and escalates items at risk of shifting the overall project target date.
- Coordinates with members of the project team on organizational change management planning.
- Provides project tracking and project closure
- Demonstrates proficiency in organizational systems and analytic tools to provide ad hoc support for projects including spreadsheets, charts, presentations, and basic analysis engaging assistance from departments including IT, FPA, Business Development, and others for more advanced analytic needs and report builds.
- Works closely with leadership to provide project progress updates and escalations.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders and JV partners to bring new centers to fruition and new product launches requiring enterprise coordination.
- Under minimal direct supervision, leads the go live preparation and on-site implementation phases of simultaneous new center openings. Includes coordinating, assigning, and tracking tasks for multiple departments including Revenue Cycle, Operations, IT, Facilities, Credentialing, Marketing and Sales.
- Coordinates ready state for staff to see patients on the first day of go-live and provides on-site assistance during go live period when needed. Works with departments across the organization to mitigate challenges managing to targeted dates.
- Ensures post-go-live client expectations were met, deliverables provided, and the project can be “closed” with a planned transition/handoff.
- Works closely with regional and local team in addition to members of the partner hospital administration to cultivate relationships and promote.
- Creates content and materials such as analytic slides, executive summaries, PowerPoints, etc. for presentation by leadership in various forums.
- Partners with team members to coordinate various functions throughout the project(s), communicate deadlines, and ensure their portion of deliverables for successful implementation.
- Maintains project list(s) and updates regularly in Smartsheet.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years project management experience required or a four-year degree.
- Experience with new facility openings highly preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills are required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- Smartsheet experience preferred.
- Experience with hospital joint ventures preferred.
- Some travel required.
- Direct experience with radiology systems, including functionality, performance, requirements, interoperability, and user roles preferred.
- Ability to define a business problem and business requirements.
- Knowledge of applications, technology, and processes used in a healthcare setting, ability to quickly understand new applications.
