Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial processes related to patient revenue. Duties
- Oversee the complete revenue cycle process from patient registration to final payment.
- Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and improve collection rates.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the revenue cycle.
- Utilize IT infrastructure knowledge to implement software solutions that streamline billing processes.
- Participate in projects that require an understanding of AWS, Azure, DevOps, or similar technologies to enhance revenue cycle operations.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in revenue cycle management.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the healthcare industry.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in revenue cycle management or related roles within the healthcare sector.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus.
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure platforms is advantageous for integrating technology solutions into the revenue cycle.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies to contribute effectively to project management initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders across departments.
