Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst

Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial processes related to patient revenue. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, collections, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of revenue cycle management, along with technical skills in IT and software development life cycle (SDLC) to enhance operational efficiency.

Duties

• Oversee the complete revenue cycle process from patient registration to final payment.
• Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and improve collection rates.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the revenue cycle.
• Utilize IT infrastructure knowledge to implement software solutions that streamline billing processes.
• Participate in projects that require an understanding of AWS, Azure, DevOps, or similar technologies to enhance revenue cycle operations.
• Provide training and support to staff on best practices in revenue cycle management.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the healthcare industry.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in revenue cycle management or related roles within the healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure platforms is advantageous for integrating technology solutions into the revenue cycle.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies to contribute effectively to project management initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $126,000.00 per year
