What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Sandblaster/Painter position at Global Industry Group?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Apply paint coatings using various techniques such as spraying, rolling, or brushing
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work for defects or imperfections
- Adhere to project timelines and meet deadlines
Experience:
- Previous experience in industrial painting or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of auto body repair, construction painting, or mechanical painting is a plus
- Familiarity with machining and welding processes is beneficial
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment commonly used in painting projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Experience operating cranes or other material handling equipment is desirable
