We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Project Manager to support a variety of projects within our property management portfolio. This role will assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing capital improvement projects, unit renovations, vendor management, and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a hands-on approach and a passion for real estate operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing property-related projects including renovations, maintenance programs, capital improvements, and tenant improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, property managers, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress and quality of work.
- Maintain accurate documentation including project plans, status reports, contracts, and change orders.
- Support procurement and bidding processes for materials and services.
- Help ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Participate in tenant communication and notification processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, construction, or property management.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, MS Project) a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scopes of work is a bonus.
- Willingness to travel to various property locations as needed.
