Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test
Long-Term Contract
Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Local Only
Must Have :
- Hands on experience of programming concept such as OOPs in scripting languages like Java / JavaScript / Typescript .
- Strong experience of writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in Java / JavaScript / C# / Python using various open-source testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.
- Experience with one or more querying languages such SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL and/or No SQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB etc).
- Hands on experience in automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such as Postman / REST Assured / Cypress / Ready API etc.
- Test automation framework from ground up using modular framework and design pattern like Page Object Model design pattern (POM) etc.
- Strong experience working with continues integration tools such Jenkins, Circle CI.
- Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs using tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong experience working with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit etc.
- Hands on experience of creating test reports from automation test run using tools such as cucumber report, Extent report etc.
- Experience working with agile methodology and teams. Nice to Have :
- Experience of working with various AWS cloud services such as EC2, s3 bucket, AWS code pipeline, CloudFormation, Elastic bean etc.
- Hands on experience of virtualizing services for test automation using tools such as Wire Mock, Mockito etc.
- Experience of writing, designing functional test cases using TDD and BDD methodologies using Gherkin syntax.
- Experience of non-functional testing such as performance, load, stress, security, accessibility, and usability testing.
- Experience of working with test management and agile management tools such as VersionOne, qTest etc.
- Experience of working with container orchestration tools such as docker, RED Hat OpenShift, AWS CloudFormation.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on test automation for UI and API layers.
- Proven experience writing and maintaining automated UI and API tests using languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, and Python, with frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, and more.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages like Java and C#, and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with API and Microservices testing and automation.
- Expertise in Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with frameworks like Cucumber and JBehave.
- Skilled in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments like AWS and OpenShift (Kubernetes).
- Proficient in automating backend REST services and developing custom functions using tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress, and Ready API.
- Expertise in building test automation frameworks from the ground up using modular frameworks and design patterns like the Page Object Model (POM).
- Experience working with distributed agile teams using frameworks like SCRUM, SAFe, and XP.
- Proficient with Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins and CircleCI.
- Experience creating and maintaining automation test jobs using Jenkins.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain software tests for products and applications.
- Define automation strategies, develop automation test cases, and design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing in a programmatic manner.
- Participate in design and code inspections to ensure code quality.
- Propose improvements to existing processes and build automated tools, libraries, and utilities to enhance the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure testing code identifies defects in production-level code as well as at the component and feature integration levels.
- Work with a broad range of technologies, from front-end UI to back-end distributed web services.
- Own the design and implementation of tests to ensure the end-to-end quality of major deliverables, working closely with multiple engineers and teams.
- Integrate both tests and infrastructure automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Contribute to agile development teams by adhering to 12-factor application development principles.
- Collaborate effectively within team environments to meet objectives.
