We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Telecom Project Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex telecommunications projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of telecom technologies, a proven track record of successful project management, and excellent communication and leadership skills. This candidate will also assist with other smaller IT Infrastructure projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and timelines, budgets, and risk assessment. Manage all project phases from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and best practices.
Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, including but not limited to: fiber optics, wireless networks (4G/5G), IP networking, VoIP, and network infrastructure. Be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring deliverables are met according to contractual agreements. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Communication and Reporting: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and budget forecasts. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
Problem Solving and Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring projects stay within allocated funding.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in telecom project management.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex telecom projects.
Strong understanding of telecom technologies and industry trends.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
Experience with project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
