Global Kids, Inc. is seeking an organized, knowledgeable intern interested in data processing, research, youth, and community development. The ideal candidate should have experience with or a strong interest in global education.
Global Kids expects to serve over 15,000 youth and educators in New York City and Washington, D.C. with its core-service delivery model that includes leadership development workshops, comprehensive after-school and out-of-school programs, and community schools. These programs foster essential skills, provide critical academic support, and establish pathways to foster future youth success. The Development Intern is essential to fulfilling these objectives.
Responsibilities
Schedule: Internships are available M-F from 9:00 pm - 5:00 pm (a minimum of 8 hours per week is required but the schedule is flexible and can be arranged based on interns' availabilities and Development needs).
Location: Hybrid – home and in person
Salary
This is an unpaid position.

Responsibilities
- With the supervision of the Individual Engagement Manager, assist in the review and processing of monthly donations
- Assistance and support with the preparation and facilitation of donor correspondence and acknowledgment letters
- Assistance and support of the department with organizing Development files and donor records
- Assist the Institutional Engagement Manager, Individual Engagement Manager, and Development & Communications Coordinator with ongoing administrative projects and tasks as needed
- Assistance with proofreading documents with a keen eye for detail
- Senior-year college student
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
- Familiarity with Canva, Mailchimp, and Events Management is a plus
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting and willingness to assist with in-person events as needed
- Strong communication, organizational, and research skills with a proven ability to be resourceful and discreet.
- Must be able to work independently and in a group setting
