THE POSITION:
Be part of a team where your voice is heard and your knowledge as a teacher and expert are appreciated. Serve as the secondary teacher, engage in a flexible standards based secondary grade program, and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in Business Education. Where you'll teach theoretical and practical business principles. Establish effective rapport with students, motivate students to develop skills, great attitudes and content knowledge.
Knowledge of:
- Child development and characteristics of students in the age group assigned.
- Current educational research. Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology.
- Learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles. Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents and others.
- How to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.
- How to assess levels of student achievement effectively, analyze test results and prescribe actions for improvement.
- How to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.
