What does it mean to be a Bankruptcy Coordinator II at GLS?
As a Bankruptcy Coordinator II, you will be responsible for carrying out assigned administrative processes within the Recoveries Department to assist in servicing active bankruptcy accounts while minimizing risk exposure and improving net recovery dollars.
\n- Ensure all bankruptcy accounts are handled in accordance with Company policies and procedures, Investor guidelines, state laws, Federal Bankruptcy code and other regulating agencies.
- Receive, process, and document any bankruptcy correspondence received from both internal and external reporting sources.
- Effectively engage in external communication with a variety of third-party vendors to include bankruptcy servicers, attorneys, and repossession forwarders
- Cross-train and collaborate on departmental activities and responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to indexing documents, customer correspondence, and cross-departmental assignments.
- Provide feedback and potential solutions to management about process efficiency and quality assurance.
- Foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management.
- Internal candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a C1 level position with a track record of sustained, top performance against company standards to be considered
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a relevant customer service role required, automotive industry preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and the ability to multitask
- Must be extremely organized be able to stay on track for upcoming time-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work with a diverse customer and workforce population
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
- Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
- Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- The position does not require travel
- Must be flexible to work within departmental operating days and times which include Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-6:00 pm
