Job Overview
The Director of Project Delivery is responsible for overseeing the execution and project management teams to ensure high-quality project delivery and continuous team development. Reporting to the VP of Consulting, this role manages project workflows, team assignments, and best practices while ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance operational excellence, team development, and process innovation.
Duties
- Maintain and enhance best practices for project and execution management, including process improvements and technology integrations.
- Provide leadership, management, and accountability for the Project Management and Execution teams.
- Oversee project capacity, team utilization, and resource allocation.
- Ensure project scopes are met efficiently and to client satisfaction, tracking progress, resolving issues, and elevating ongoing concerns or training needs as necessary.
- Oversee execution team task completion, ensuring tasks are completed on time, accurately, and efficiently while managing QA/QC processes and addressing quality issues.
- Manage project assignments, including scoping, pricing, and team selection.
- Oversee project initiation preparation to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution, including completion of necessary documentation and alignment of project goals.
- Lead interim phase meetings to maintain project continuity, track progress, and collect real-time data and insights.
- Ensure a structured project closeout process to capture final project data, lessons learned, and key insights for continuous improvement.
- Ensure external contractors adhere to the same project management standards as internal team members.
- Oversee the execution of FAM tours, ensuring alignment with project and client objectives.
- Lead Level 10 meetings for both the Project Management and the Execution teams. Participate in the Consulting Level 10 meetings.
Training & Team Development – (Approximately 20%)
- Develop and maintain the Consultant and Business Analyst training programs, ensuring ongoing progress and advancement through GLS’ defined Career Pathways.
- Oversee the internship program, ensuring meaningful contributions and professional growth opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and growth opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Process & Innovation – 10%
- Manage and refine project management processes, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee Harvest forecasting to ensure accurate resource planning and financial projections.
- Act as a consulting project scoping and pricing advisor to optimize engagement structures.
- Elevate key findings from project closeouts and incorporate them into processes and methodology to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaboration & Communication – 10%
- Serve as the liaison between the Execution and Project Management teams to ensure alignment and seamless collaboration.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for project execution and team performance, identifying trends, addressing concerns, and elevating critical insights to the VP of Consulting.
- Elevate project concerns to the VP of Consulting when necessary, providing insights and recommended solutions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bchelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project and team management, preferably in consulting or a professional services environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
- Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
