Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for English Language Teachers (ESL) to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in McLean, VA.
Job Information:
- Class numbers: 181050/181049
- Students: Two spouses taking separate classes
- Target language: English
- Availability: Wife is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 3:30pm. Husband is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays after 5pm.
- Preferred start date: ASAP
- Lesson frequency: Twice per week (per student)
- Lesson length: 1 hour per class
- Student’s location: Lessons are to be held at the students' home in McLean, VA, 22102 (Near Spring Hill Elementary)
- Current English level: Advanced
- Native language: Spanish
- Students' language needs and goals: Both students want an assessment with the teacher to identify all gaps and set goals. They would also like to work on pronunciation and increase their vocabulary.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years of experience
