Full time HOSPICE Biller / Collector in our Reseda office
Must have hospice billing and collections experience.
Mon-Fri 9am-6pm - Hourly rate depends on experience, range is $22-27 / hr
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Medical Biller is responsible for the preparation of billing documents for private insurance, Medicare / Medicaid and private pay sources and maintenance of fiscal or related records.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- One year medical clerical experience including coding / medical billing and / or have completed a medical assistant course that includes requirements for medical claims
- Knowledgeable about coding systems, billing requirements, specialized medical terminology, computers and billing software. Ability to maintain financial records and to prepare reports. Have effective writing and communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
