Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced automotive mechanics with the maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of various vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Perform basic automotive services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, battery installations, and fluid top-offs.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing clear explanations of repair needs and services performed.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through training and hands-on practice.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow in the automotive field.
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior mechanics.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in automotive repair or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
