Job Summary:
As an Industrial Firefighter Paramedic with BASF, you will be responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires, rescuing persons endangered by structural fires, and preventing fire by reducing or eliminating potential fire hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to fires in a timely, safe, and skilled manner using hose and nozzle work, hand tools, or a combination of these methods.
- Administer first aid to injured parties at their appropriate level of training.
- Operate Company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment in good operating and safe condition.
- Perform routine non-firefighting work tasks such as working on Company records, timecards, and other related paperwork.
Requirements:
- Certifications: Valid Driver's License, Alabama Paramedic EMT certification, CPR/AED credentials, AL/IFSA C or Pro-Board Firefighter II Hazardous Materials Technician Driver/Operator - Pumper.
- Experience: Must be able to work any shift assigned, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Education: High school graduate or possess a GED certificate.
- Licensing: Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
