Job Description
We're hiring Registered Nurses whose mission and purpose are to compassionately deliver high-quality service and patient care in a professional, discreet, and caring manner at the Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals 2024. These Registered Nurses will participate in the triage, treatment and discharge of patients presenting to the medical tent facilities to receive emergency care. The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the treatment team by providing initial patient care and supportive care alongside with AMR EMT's, paramedics and emergency physician team. The on-site medical tents treat hundreds of patients in an emergency room style treatment facility for routine and emergency care. Applicants interested in this position must be patient care focused providers looking to work in a high-volume clinical setting.

All providers must have current California licensure with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a high volume, high acuity, paramedic receiving emergency department. Stagecoach: April 25-29, 2024
While you are not required to be present for the duration of the event, all providers must work a minimum of two (2) shifts for Coachella/Stagecoach 2023.

Responsibilities:
- Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol.
- Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.
- Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
- Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
- Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
- Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.
- Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion.
- Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
- Continuously maintain all required certifications, BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS Provider Certification (where applicable or required by contract).
- Document activities with regard to patient care and billing completely to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call.
- Ability to work past scheduled shift with little or no notice.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel.
- Reports immediately to the on-duty supervisor and/or account manager any incident involving a negative customer and/or patient interaction.
- Read medication/prescription labels and directions for usage in quick, accurate, and expedient manner.
- Communicate verbally with patients and significant others in various environments to interview patient, family members, and bystanders.
- Ability to discern deviations/changes in eye/skin coloration due to patient's condition and to the treatment given.
- Converse with dispatcher and EMS providers via phone or radio as to status of patient.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Adherence to and compliance with information systems security policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MinimumRequired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or (GED).
- Background check
- Drug screen
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure as required by the State of California
- Required ASN or BSN degree
- 3 years of experience in a high volume, high acuity, emergency department
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent
- State Driver's License
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Multi-lingual preferred
- Physically fit
Work Environment
This position will be physically demanding, and requires individuals with good physical health, and endurance. Much of the work will be in outside weather conditions and will be exposed to airborne particles as well as possible extremes in temperature. The festivals are on grass polo fields where dust and allergens are abundant. Those with allergies or reactive airway disease may find this environment inhospitable.
