JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Licensing will be responsible for developing and managing North America licensing opportunities for Global’s roster of artists and brands. Ensuring our artists and IP are passionately represented across multiple categories driving results so fans and consumers are constantly engaged.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

In a fast-paced and growing environment like ours, priorities and projects often change so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Build and direct the execution, tone, and vision of multiple categories with an emphasis on North America: Fashion, Streetwear, Footwear, Accessories, Luxury Goods, Electronics, Sporting Goods, Food/Beverage.
  • Proactively identify, sell, negotiate deals and renewals with top manufacturers in dedicated categories across all brands to drive revenue growth
  • Be an expert in each of the relevant licensed categories and acts as the resource for these categories. This includes developing a thorough understanding of the product lines, the market, competitors, and all capabilities of the licensees
  • Research market and categories and identify white space opportunities
  • Constantly analyze the rapidly evolving retail landscape, and how that effects categories and deal negotiations 
  • Monitor revenue generation including recommending audits, and liaising with Finance as required to ensure timely receipts and accounting
  • On-boarding of licensees according to processes with hand off to PD team, and assisting PD team with any development queries throughout development lifecycle
  • Work closely with the SVP of Licensing on forecasting and business planning across categories and artists to create and exceed revenue goals
  • Attend trade shows to maintain relationships and build partnerships while seeking and identify trends
  • Work closely with Brand Management teams on deals and approvals. Keep informed of all artists activities and knowledge of key dates
  • Collaborate with key internal team members across retail, legal, and creative
  • Utilize exceptional written, listening and verbal communication and presentation skills as needed for internal and external meetings

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in kids and family entertainment licensing with specific category knowledge of apparel, footwear, accessories, luxury goods and food/beverage.
  • Familiarity with Licensing Processes: Understanding the lifecycle of a licensing deal, brand building and brand management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working with entertainment and kid’s brands is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PowerPoint. MediaBox is a plus.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day.
  • Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
