IT Support Specialist
The IT Support specialist is an entry-level position offers the opportunity to work across a variety of IT tasks and projects, providing valuable support to the IT department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Help Desk Support:
· Respond to and resolve technical issues from employees in a timely manner.
· Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related problems.
· Document and track issues in the help desk system.
Office 365 Administration:
· Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and licenses.
· support email configuration, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams usage.
· Troubleshoot Office 365-related issues for end-users.
IT Project Support:
· Collaborate with the IT team on various technology projects, such as system upgrades, software rollouts, or network enhancements.
· Perform testing, research, and documentation tasks as assigned.
Networking and Systems:
· Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices (e.g., routers, switches, access points).
· Support the team with server maintenance and backups.
Report Writing and Data Entry:
· Generate and edit reports using IT tools or platforms as directed.
· Input, validate, and maintain accurate data in IT systems.
General IT Support:
· Inventory and track IT equipment and software licenses.
· Set up and configure new hardware, including computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
· Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes.
Performs other related duties as needed/assigned by the CTO and Director of Business Information Systems
Qualifications
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
· Must be willing to work onsite in Sarasota Florida or Tampa Florida.
· Associates Degree or equivalent Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant degree or diploma.
· Certifications in Computer Science or IT (Comp TIAA , Microsoft Fundamentals, ect..) are preferred.
· Understanding of IT Systems, Networking and Troubleshooting.
· Experience with Office 365 applications and administration
· Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
· Experience with MacOS or Linux is preferred
· Ability to generate reports from multiple systems and analyze data
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work as part of a team or independently in a fast paced environment
· Ability to multitask and adapt to changes
· Experience in IT support preferred
· Familiarity with basic scripting or report writing tools (such as SQL, Power BI and others) preferred
· Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ect…) preferred.
Physical Demands & Abilities
· Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
· Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
