WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
Job Summary
The Warehouse and Support Associate is responsible for controlling the flow of stock through a warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure our facility as well as our employees, visitors and contractors are in compliance with all state, local and federal regulations and safety requirements, reporting any concerns or issues to management
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices
- Packing and shipping orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Processing incoming stock through inventory management system
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Stock checking and regular inventory checks
- Moving product with a forklift, hand truck, hand lifting, etc
- General housekeeping of the warehouse (sweeping, wiping down equipment, organizing materials, etc)
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- Perform all work within established deadlines as well as quality and safety standards.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing, receiving, and shipping procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified candidates must be comfortable and lawfully able to work around and handle firearms.
- Candidates must be Authorized US Persons under ITAR. US Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident or authorized asylee.
- Must be able to use computers, inventory tracking software and other software to perform work
- High school diploma or above
- Excellent organizational skills
- Prior firearm industry experience preferred
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Prior Packaging experience preferred
- Prior Receiving/Shipping experience preferred
- Forklift training and experience preferred
- ISO 9001:2015 training preferred
- Functional in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Physical Demands & Abilities
- Regularly spend long hours sitting, standing, and packaging orders
- Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
- Must be able to wear dust mask, safety glasses, gloves, and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Able to operate a fork lift, pallet lift and utilize hand tools
- Ability to exert or lift upwards of 75lbs regularly and exert or lift upwards of 25lbs frequently
Working Conditions
The majority of work will be completed in a climate-controlled Warehouse. Occasional trade show work may be required.
