We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Project Manager to support our aerospace client in Stockton, CA. This contract position requires 40 hours per week on-site and focuses on process improvement, lean manufacturing, and capacity assessment within an engineering and operations-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, process optimization, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operational projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, scalability, and quality.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies to optimize production workflows.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct capacity assessments to ensure production readiness, resource allocation, and throughput optimization.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to align project objectives with business goals.
- Support and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and components.
- Monitor key performance metrics, analyze operational data, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in operations project management, manufacturing engineering, or process improvement within an aerospace or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and capacity planning methodologies.
- Strong background in process optimization, operational efficiency, and production scaling.
- Experience in supplier management and working with external vendors to ensure operational success.
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proven leadership and communication skills to work across engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
