The Event Manager is a key link in implementing trade shows by providing materials, support and coordination to Sales Representatives, Executive Team, and other Departments within the organization. The event manager will plan and execute all logistical aspects of trade shows both onsite and virtually, from the planning stage through post-event wrap up.The Event Manager must be detail-oriented, highly organized, deadline-focused and have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner. Essential Duties: Manage our participation in Higher Education market trade shows; including all logistical aspects from booking trade shows, requesting shipping of materials, maintaining communication with sales team regarding event logistics Manage event budget including recording of costs and managing of vendor payments Provide exceptional oral and written communication to ensure seamless coordination across all stakeholders Collaborate with Partner and Revenue marketing teams to maximize the impact and value of events Maintain event calendars for internal and external audiences Fulfill requests for marketing materials by internal and external parties Order and maintain inventory for branded giveaways and literature All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience in trade show planning and execution Be excellent at quality control, extremely detail oriented, deadline driven Working knowledge of office suite including Powerpoint, Excel, and Word and/or Google Suite Technical aptitude and/or working knowledge of event software for in person and virtual events Strong organizational and time management skills; take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Ability to lift 40 pounds Occasional travel may be required, up to 20% annually #LI-Remote #Li-TP1 Heartland is an equal opportunity employer.
