Role Overview: The Project Implementation Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Global Payments portfolio management framework aligns with strategic objectives while enhancing visibility, governance, and execution efficiency within the financial payments sector. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PPM Planview implementation, process management/improvement, and operational support. As the Product Owner for Planview, they will drive adoption, enhancements, and best practices across the organization. The role will also lead the PPM future state roadmap implementations, optimization, and ongoing management of Planview within Global Payments.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Strategic Execution
Oversee the end-to-end management of portfolios, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Lead the transition from Wave to Planview, ensuring seamless integration and adoption across multiple business units.
Partner with finance, technology, and business leaders to optimize resource and capacity planning.
Establish best practices for project intake, prioritization, and governance.
Planview Portfolios Product Ownership
Serve as the primary Business Product Owner for Planview, driving roadmap enhancements, adoption, and training.
Define and document system workflows, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Gather user feedback, prioritize improvements, and collaborate with technology teams for system optimizations.
Develop training and change management strategies to increase Planview adoption across teams.
Establish key performance metrics to assess effectiveness and efficiency.
Process Management & Operational Support
Improve and standardize portfolio reporting, ensuring accurate and timely insights.
Streamline approval processes for discretionary and non-discretionary initiatives.
Ensure compliance with governance policies and drive continuous process improvements.
Work closely with executive leadership to provide strategic insights on portfolio performance.
Key Qualifications
10 years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or strategic planning.
Proven track record in PPM implementation, with Planview or compatible systems.
Experience in financial services, payments, or technology-driven organizations is a plus.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders.
Proven ability to present ideas, influence decision making, and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple competing priorities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Preferred Experience
Experience leading enterprise-wide PPM transformations (Planview and Jira Align)
Familiarity with resource management, capacity planning, and financial forecasting within a portfolio.
Understanding of agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies.
