POSITION SUMMARY
· Perform a wide range of HR and office management functions on a day-to-day basis to facilitate the efficient operations of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Support and advocate PHOENIX corporate strategic plan and initiatives.
· Foster healthy employee relations throughout the plant using clear and timely communication and regular face-to-face contact with all shifts.
· Managers are expected to be the Subject Matter Experts for their department; provide HR advice and support to managers, supervisors, and employees.
· Employee engagement and enrichment through training, development, and support with the goal of both promoting and retaining internal talent, while also recruiting knowledgeable and skilled persons in the pursuit of growth and full potential of the workforce.
· Conduct orientation program and ensure all new hire paperwork is accurate and complete. Create new employee profile in HRIS.
· Promote employee dedication and encourage sustainability of growth within the company.
· Conduct and document internal investigations.
· Ensure plant compliance with handbooks, protocol, Work Instructions, and procedure.
· Support benefit programs and educate employees on options.
· Monitor employee performance reviews for proper completion to standard expectations.
· Maintain records for the attendance program and progressive discipline, according to policy and considering past precedence.
· Coordinate requests for temporary employment service.
· Assist site Safety Coordinator with worker’s compensation claims.
· Advocate the Employee Assistance Program for the health and growth of the workforce.
· SEDEX audit site representative.
· Manage security key fob system for the site.
· Oversee the part-time administrative assistant: provide training, coaching, and support while encouraging a growth mindset.
· Review hourly bi-weekly time sheets for proper completion.
· Collaborate with Payroll Specialist to ensure timely payroll processing.
· Investigate payroll discrepancies and facilitate communication if issues arise.
· Responsible for maintaining employee grade level training records and the efficient processing of pay changes.
· Maintain departmental budget for purchasing.
· Maintain yearly service contracts with department vendors (i.e. Copier vendor, break room food vendor).
· Timely and accurate processing of departmental invoices for AP.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for following all Food Safety policies and procedures.
· Responsible for enforcing and following Code of Conduct, Safety Rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
· Coordinate special events (plant tours, employee meals, etc.).
Professional Profile:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
· HR professional certification preferred.
· Recent work as a team member in an office environment with demonstrated progressive responsibility.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
· Strong verbal and written communication.
· Robust administrative, computer, and organizational skills.
· Exercise discretion and maintain employee confidentiality.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
