Raw Materials Coordinator

Pay up to $28 / hr w2

Skillman, NJ, will be moving to Summit, NJ Planned ion February / March and finished before the start of Summer

this is not in the lab, although lab experience and knowledge of the processes, equipment, techniques, etc is highly preferred and needed

will train on this role to help you

you will be front facing and dealing with clients for the raw materials team. the raw materials team manufactures many cosmetics, consumer products, over-the-counter products, pharmaceutical products, etc.

you will be interacting and dealing with multiple teams within the company, vendors, as well as clients who deal with the raw materials and finished products. you will need to be comfortable interacting with people and talking to people, as well as not being afraid to speak up and tell a client or employee something that needs to be done or can't be done the way they are doing it

Identify and resolve critical problems by developing and implementing strategic solutions for raw material and packaging challenges, ensuring seamless E2E business operations across diverse product formulations including Cosmetics, OTC, and Medical Devices.

• Oversee technical assurance processes, manage product specifications, and craft detailed technical reports and metrics. Spearhead global change controls to uphold enterprise compliance and streamline change management procedures.
• Lead a mid-sized team as a hands-on project manager in E2E qualifications of raw materials and packaging components for new product developments (NPD) and existing product lifecycle management (LCM). Ensure compliance with region-specific drug and chemical regulations to support the overall safety and quality of finished goods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and execute complex projects, navigate various risk factors, and strategically devise innovative solutions. Enhance operational efficiency and outcomes by developing optimized procedures and working closely with procurement / supply chain teams to drive cost-saving initiatives and mitigate potental losses.
• Manage crisis situations involving urgent and unexpected issues that threaten business continuity, swiftly implementing solutions to mitigate impacts from both internal and external drivers.
• Drive innovation and streamline processes by identifying and implementing improvements across our internal systems, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of material lifecycle management and supplier management protocols.

Additional Job Requirements :

Would be a plus if the candidate had knowledge / experience in lab scale batching and formulation of baby care, skin care, and oral care products , solid dose, oral dose products.

Proficient with laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Plus to be Proficient with or understand the use of basic lab instrumentation skills like Viscometer, pH Meter, Rheometer, Lumisizer, etc..

Skilled in technical documentation including writing scientific reports.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent verbal and written skills

Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment while being an individual contributor is required and experience managing multiple projects is required.

knowledge of the follwiing is a huge plus :

in formulation or manufacturing of consumer / pharmaceutical products is highly preferred.

Resolve issues with raw materials / products and processes

Assess impact of raw material changes to different kinds of formulations

Batch formulations to assess impact of raw material changes
