Job Description :
Business Systems Analyst (BSA)with extensive experience in Snowflake, AWS platforms, and data governance.
Will serve as a pivotal liaison between the Business Unit and IT, ensuring seamless alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
This role demands a robust technical background, particularly within the Snowflake and AWS ecosystem, data governance, and business intelligence (BI) reporting. The position should excel in facilitating workshops, leading discussions, and producing comprehensive documentation. This role requires participation in cross-functional team meetings, data governance workshops, and report validation sessions. The position must be comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with some on-site presence as required.
Key Responsibilities :
Snowflake Administration and Technical Expertise :
Oversee and manage Snowflake environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Possess in-depth knowledge of Snowflake components, including :
Data Stores : Snowflake, Amazon S3, MySQL.
Application Hosting : Amazon EC2, NGINX, AWS Firecracker.
AI Data Cloud Features : Cortex, Horizon, Marketplace.
Utilize tools such as Modernizr and various monitoring tools for proactive system health management.
Implement best practices for user, data, and network security within Snowflake.
Manage data ingress and egress patterns between Snowflake and various cloud service providers.
Identify and implement cost reduction strategies to optimize Snowflake resource utilization.
Fine-tune Snowflake configurations for optimal performance and cost efficiency, including warehouse size adjustments and scaling strategies.
Monitor and analyze usage patterns to provide recommendations for resource allocation and cost-saving measures. AWS Platform and Data Strategy :
Leverage AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3) and DevOps tools to design and support scalable cloud-based solutions.
Assist in formulating data strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate in designing and implementing robust data architectures to meet business requirements. Data Governance :
Lead data governance workshops and discussions, promoting the adoption of industry standards and best practices.
Develop artifacts, frameworks, and documentation to support governance initiatives.
Ensure organizational adherence to data governance standards and practices. Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting :
Partner with BI developers to design and develop reports that align with business needs.
Author requirements documentation, source-to-target mappings, and test cases for BI reporting projects.
Engage in report design discussions, testing, validation, and sign-off sessions.
Ensure reports meet functionality, accuracy, and quality standards. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :
Act as a liaison between the ASP Business Unit and IT teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
Facilitate collaboration using tools like Azure DevOps and Jira to effectively manage project tasks and updates.
Provide guidance to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. Documentation and Best Practices :
Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and governance artifacts.
Stay abreast of industry standards and best practices, applying them to enhance organizational processes. Qualifications and Skills : Technical Skills :
Proficient in Snowflake administration and development, including its components and integrations.
Solid understanding of AWS platforms and services.
Familiarity with monitoring tools, collaboration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira), and libraries like Modernizr.
Experience with AI Data Cloud features : Cortex, Horizon, Marketplace. Business Systems Analyst Skills :
Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Expertise in data governance standards, best practices, and leading governance workshops.
Ability to align data strategy with business objectives and technical implementations. BI Reporting Skills :
Experience in BI report development and design, including collaboration with developers and end-users.
Ability to produce detailed requirements documentation, source-to-target mappings, and test cases.

Significant exposure to data governance, BI reporting, and cloud-based architectures. Preferred Certifications (Optional) :
Snowflake SnowPro Certification.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Data Analytics.
Certifications in Data Governance or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP)
