What You'll Do:
- Project Management: Independently plan and execute project timelines for assigned categories, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Category Knowledge: Become a recognized expert in your assigned contracting discipline (e.g., nursing, surgery, capital, non-medical), possessing deep category knowledge, including product features, supplier offerings, operational impact, and market trends.
- Supplier Knowledge: Develop and leverage in-depth knowledge of suppliers to develop effective negotiation strategies, mitigate risks, and anticipate market direction.
- Strategy Development, Validation, and Risk Mitigation: Develop and execute comprehensive contract strategies that align with customer needs and organizational objectives, while effectively managing and mitigating risks.
- Sourcing Process: Lead the entire sourcing process, from market research and bid preparation to contract negotiations and launch.
- Supplier and Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers and customers, including the negotiation of master/corporate templates.
- Board Presentations: Deliver dynamic and persuasive presentations to customer-led advisory boards and executive-level committees.
What You'll Need:
- Proven Expertise: 7 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and contract management, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of revenue cycle and treasury operations is REQUIRED.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Negotiation Prowess: Exceptional negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information 1 clearly and concisely.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, or Finance.
