Our client, a long-standing pillar of the Arizona engineering community (35 years!), is the go-to firm for comprehensive civil engineering solutions. As Water Resource Director, you won't just be managing projects; you'll be leading a team of talented professionals, driving innovation, and influencing the direction of water resource management for both public and private sector clients. You'll be at the forefront of:

• Cutting-Edge Projects: Leading a diverse portfolio, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, flood hazard mitigation, FEMA studies, Area Drainage Master Studies/Plans, river mechanics, and stream stabilization. Experience with FLO-2D is a must.
• Client & Community Impact: Building and nurturing strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and directly contributing to the sustainable development of Arizona communities. Your work will have a tangible, positive impact.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guiding and developing a high-performing team, fostering their growth, and ensuring the highest quality engineering solutions. You'll be a mentor, a leader, and a champion for your team.

What We're Looking For:

• A BS in Civil Engineering and an AZ Professional Engineer's license.
• A Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification (or the ability to obtain one within six months).
• Proven experience in leading and managing water resource projects, including H&H, FEMA studies, drainage master planning, and related areas.
• Exceptional communication, client management, and business development skills. A proven track record of winning projects is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience in supervising, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
• Deep technical expertise in applying relevant software and methodologies (FLO-2D is essential).
• A passion for water resource management and a commitment to sustainable solutions.
