Controls Engineer 2 & 3

As the Controls Engineer, here’s the work you’ll do :
- Design, build, and modify electronic equipment and systems such as PLCs, automated machinery, and machine controls systems by applying principles and theories of Electrical Engineering.
- Oversee large scale project management.
- Find advanced solutions to better utilize the existing equipment and tools to improve throughput. Reduce downtime by identifying and resolving issues in the production process and equipment.
- Direct the work of maintenance personnel and outside services.
- Work in close support with process owners to design, build and maintain user friendly controls and equipment to increase production line uptime, product throughput and reduce scrap through automation.
- Fluent in the design, troubleshooting and programming of complex equipment. Document solutions and provide technical controls support across the installation.

Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and complex diagrams. Write routine correspondence and speak effectively before employees of the organization.Ability to interface and integrate multiple systems and platforms in automated processes. Skilled in PLC or other automated system. SCADA experience desirable.Skilled in handling multiple duties simultaneously; ability to quickly resolve complex issues effectively.Strong aptitude for critical thinking to identify root cause of problems with automated processes.Willingness to direct and teach other team members the processes of automated software systems.And if you have these qualifications :
Bachelor in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field; prefer Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineer or Automation focus.5 years of relevant Engineering experience. (2 for Controls II role)Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, NESC.Microsoft Office Suite Software.Strong mechanical aptitude.Valid driver's license required.Government Secret Clearance may be required.Successful completion of background screening process.Great attitude and team player.In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $65,560 to $132,840 Depending on eng II vs eng III role. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
