The Manufacturing Process Control Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing team, focusing on troubleshooting, long-range planning, day-to-day operations, process control optimization, and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide technical support to the Manufacturing Department to optimize performance, increase production efficiency, improve quality, and enhance equipment reliability.
- Utilize industry standards in troubleshooting, process improvement, and training/certification programs.
- Develop and troubleshoot ladder logic programming.
- Evaluate engineering proposals and lead project implementation.
- Create and update detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD.
- Analyze production and maintenance data to identify problems with processes, equipment, tooling, and personnel. Utilize technical skills and formal methods to identify root causes and implement solutions, including design changes.
- Coordinate communications and efforts with internal and external resources to troubleshoot equipment and execute repairs, PM's, and upgrades to equipment and tooling. Participate in planning meetings with Maintenance.
- Support the Continuous Improvement group in developing departmental procedures and training programs. Develop specific technical procedures when necessary. Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts and teams.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of capital improvements, and lead implementation when required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
- Programming experience with Programmable Logic controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and/or Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment, including Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
