Position Summary :
The Director of Operations will manage operations for production, manufacturing, and supply chain for a company producing various cannabis and hemp- based products. The Director will manage operations to improve efficiency, quality, and costs. The position will manage the team at the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on scaling production, improving efficiency, and optimizing workflows.
- Production Management : Oversee the daily operations of manufacturing facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes for all product lines.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Management : Manage procurement, raw material sourcing, equipment maintenance, and inventory control to ensure consistent product availability and efficient operations.
- Quality Control & Assurance : Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed all safety, consistency, and regulatory standards. Oversee compliance with internal and external testing requirements.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight : Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. Work closely with the compliance team to maintain full regulatory adherence.
- Cost & Budget Management : Develop and manage the annual operations budget, focusing on cost reduction, margin improvement, and scaling production capacity without compromising quality.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor the operations team, including production managers, quality assurance staff, supply chain coordinators, and logistics personnel, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement best practices in manufacturing to enhance operational efficiency, increase output, and improve product consistency.
- Health & Safety : Promote a safe workplace by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting employee training, and minimizing workplace hazards.
- Logistics & Distribution : Oversee distribution strategies, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of finished goods to customers and retail locations.
- Performance Monitoring : Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cost control, product quality, and safety. Provide regular reports to executive leadership.
