Embedded Telematics Engineer
Must be USC

The Senior Engineer Software team member will design implement and test highquality vehicle control subsystem software. The team member must be able to write embedded C / C Matlab autogenerated software to run on embedded platforms that controls various vehicle systems through network messaging and directly connected inputs and outputs. The team member will be an integral part of multiple projects and responsible for peer reviewing others software.
YOUR IMPACT :
Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans designs computation methods and / or reporting.
Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.
May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers designers or technicians working on a common project.
Ability to write highquality maintainable objectoriented C software.
Responsible for quality conscious design including cost and reliability.
Participate in peer reviews estimation and other engineering activities.
Follow defined CMMI level 3 procedures in the writing of software.
Use reasonable foresight to identify vehicle operation and maintenance risks and control them within acceptable levels.
Write requirements and design documentation.
Ability to travel offsite to support engineering projects.
Develop detailed requirements and track changes to them.
Develop comprehensive test plans to verify safety and reliability of electronic systems.
Conduct testing across multiple platforms in both simulation and realworld use cases.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers internal and external customers and outside resources concerning technical subject matter.
Develop and peer review software.
Process engineering information through CMMI level 3 procedures and software safety process.
Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.
Evaluate designs for performance safety and reliability.
Establishes priorities for work delegated to others.
Prepare technical proposals quotations reports and presentations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
- Required : 5 years C with Linux CAN experience IoT experience
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer or Electrical Engineering.
Familiarity with JavaScript JSON Python and SQL database in addition to embedded C / C.
Must have US Citizenship
