We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a caring family household. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining a clean, organized space and takes pride in creating a calm, comfortable home environment. You’ll be part of a supportive team making a positive impact on daily life, including helping care for a 7-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all areas of the home including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common spaces
- Handle laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Organize household items and keep supplies stocked
- Prepare simple meals and assist with kitchen upkeep
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for the family
- Assist with occasional errands or light organizing projects
Schedule
- Part-time: 15 to 20 hours per week
- Full-time: 30 to 40 hours per week
- Fixed weekday and weekend schedules available
Qualifications
- Experience in residential housekeeping preferred
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Open to long-term employment
Compensation
- $18.50 to $21.50 per hour depending on experience and skills
