This is a contractual sales role based in Central/South America.  Ideally located in Santiago, Chile, but we may be flexible as long as the candidate meets the qualifications of the role.

ROLE OVERVIEW

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop global partnerships with partners in the travel industry.  Focusing on a wide variety of verticals, including but not limited to: adventure, luxury, leisure and experience-based travel segments. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, relentless hunter with a consistent record of accomplishment building world-class partnerships and sales over-achievement.  Comfortable selling at all levels within an organization, this individual is aggressive yet polished, and thrives in a dynamic and competitive environment.

 

This is a new position that provides the opportunity for a highly driven individual to develop their sales experience. You will have the opportunity to generate and manage new business in a territory ripe with opportunities by using market data to prospect potential channel partners, collaborate with the team to set up meetings, and identify and address prospects' needs through mutual collaboration with management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage the full partnership lifecycle; drive new partnership opportunities across multiple verticals from demand creation and lead sourcing, through to close, including onboarding, account management and engagement.
  • Leverage existing marketing resources at each stage of the partnership lifecycle to optimize revenue generation.
  • Collaborate effectively across the business to generate sales leads from business development, marketing, and other demand gen activities to build pipeline and exceed sales targets.
  • Research prospects to develop a lead generation plan, qualify these opportunities and pursue or pass to relevant team members.
  • Execute consistently against quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop a strategy and execution plan with 30-60-90-day benchmarks. Establish pipeline by generating new leads and opportunities from personal activity (cold outreach), trade shows, conferences, regional organizations and associations, outbound sales & marketing recruitment and other methods.
  • Accurately capture and report all aspects of sales activity using Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Using CRM, create and deliver accurate forecasts while also building and maintaining a strong pipeline
  • Collaborate and strategize with Senior leadership on strategic prospect identification.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, with 5 years of business development and quota carrying channel selling experience.
  • Demonstrated experience attending local travel industry tradeshows and conferences.
  • Previous experience creating and developing strategic partnerships leading to new revenue streams, preferably in the travel and tourism or insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment successfully creating prospect lead generation plans to ensure funnel coverage in order to exceed sales targets.
  • Superior track-record of driving sales and closing deals from initial point of contact to close.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities required.
  • Comfortable speaking and articulating a value proposition to an executive audience.
  • Proven ability to gain access to an organization and identify the appropriate point(s) of contact throughout the sales process.
  • Self-starter, able to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
