Position Overview: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to oversee the management of wall panel inventory at our fabrication shop. This role will ensure materials are readily available for production while maintaining an organized and accurate inventory system. The ideal candidate will bring experience in inventory management, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of fabrication processes, particularly within the wall panel industry.

- Inventory Management: Oversee daily tracking and management of wall panel materials and related components. Ensure materials are appropriately labeled, stored, and rotated based on production demands and shelf life (when applicable).
- Stock Monitoring & Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock. Collaborate closely with suppliers and procurement teams to replenish materials as necessary, ensuring efficient stock levels to avoid both stockouts and overstocking.
- Inventory Audits: Conduct routine physical counts of wall panel materials and components, address any discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records to ensure data integrity.
- Material Tracking: Utilize barcode systems or other inventory management tools to ensure precise tracking of wall panel components. Document the flow of materials from receiving through to production to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the inventory management software. Prepare regular reports on inventory status, material usage, and discrepancies for management review, offering insights for decision-making.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials to verify they meet fabrication standards. Communicate any defects or issues promptly to the relevant teams for swift resolution, ensuring high quality in production.
- Collaboration with Production Teams: Partner with production and fabrication teams to understand material requirements, deadlines, and production schedules, ensuring materials are available as needed to meet deadlines and avoid delays.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and best practices in inventory management, ensuring all operations comply with company policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Proven experience in inventory management, ideally within a fabrication or manufacturing environment (experience with wall panel fabrication is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail to manage complex inventory systems effectively.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, barcode scanning tools).
- Basic understanding of wall panel materials and fabrication processes is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to manage inventory discrepancies and supply chain challenges efficiently.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (if applicable).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in inventory or materials management in a fabrication, construction, or manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- This position is based primarily on-site at the fabrication shop.
- The work environment may involve varying temperatures and noise levels typically found in warehouse settings.
- Some physical labor will be required, including lifting and moving materials, so physical fitness is essential.
