As a Sheet Metal Installer, you will play a crucial role in installing, repairing, and maintaining metal roofing systems, ensuring they are durable and weatherproof.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain metal roofing systems on commercial and industrial buildings.
• Handle and transport metal roofing materials and tools safely.
• Inspect roofs to assess conditions, identify issues, and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use safety equipment to prevent accidents.
• Interpret architectural plans and drawings to accurately install roofing systems.
• Cut, shape, and weld metal sheets to fit roof structures.
• Apply sealants and waterproofing materials to prevent leaks.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure the roofing system is weatherproof and durable.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete roofing projects.
• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during installation, such as leaks or structural problems.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools and welding machines.
• Communicate with clients to provide information, updates, and recommendations.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Experience with various commercial roofing systems.
• Must have reliable transportation and basic tools.
• Completion of OSHA 10 Hr. or 30 Hr. course is a major plus.
• Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch, and crawl for long periods.
• Ability to travel up and down ladders and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in high places and tight spaces.
