Global Schoolwear is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our team at our brand-new Oak Creek facility. Our state-of-the-art distribution center is equipped with the latest technology, and as we continue to grow, we need dedicated individuals who can ensure inventory accuracy, support warehouse operations, and contribute to an efficient and organized work environment.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Inventory Specialist plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with general warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping. This position requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities: Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counts

  • Coordinate and track regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to the supervisor.
  • Maintain proper documentation of adjustments, returns, and stock movements.

Stock Receiving & Organization

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality and damages.
  • Track and document all incoming inventory.
  • Properly label, sort, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.

Order Picking & Packing (As Needed)

  • Accurately pick units based on customer orders.
  • Fold, bag, and package products according to warehouse standards.
  • Ensure correct labeling and tagging of outbound shipments.
  • Verify, pack, and ship customer orders.

Shipping & Logistics Support (As Needed)

  • Assist with preparing and processing shipments, including generating shipping labels and coordinating with carriers.
  • Verify outbound shipments match order specifications and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with unloading trucks for inbound receipts (floor-loaded cartons).

Warehouse Organization & Safety Compliance

  • Keep warehouse aisles clean and organized for efficient operations.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, RF scanners) safely and effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of previous experience in warehouse inventory management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and lift/move items up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of order fulfillment workflow (pick/pack/ship).
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling high SKU count apparel inventory.
  • Familiarity with barcode label creation, scanning, and tracking systems.

Physical Demands:

  • Walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Use hands/arms to reach for and handle merchandise and materials.
  • Regularly lift, push, and/or pull up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds; and infrequently lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
