The Director of Engineering and Capital Projects is a crucial Global Engineering and Project Management team leader. This position spearheads strategic capital projects across the Global Supply Chain. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in industrial spaces, with expertise spanning mechanical and electrical design to software integration for comprehensive sub-system capabilities.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Lead Capital Critical Planning initiatives, aligning short-term and long-term projects with company objectives.
- Introduce innovative technologies to drive company growth and competitive advantage.
- Oversee project performance, including planning, resource management, quality control, and profitability.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Direct a cross-functional team of professionals, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensure proper coordination between team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Provide work assignments and performance reviews to optimize staff utilization.
Technical Oversight
- Develop and approve Master Engineering Projects, including drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as FM Global standards.
- Provide engineered solutions and root cause analysis for complex manufacturing issues.
Financial Management
- Lead budgeting processes for global engineering areas.
- Analyze costs and develop reduction plans for capital improvements and maintenance projects.
