Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with maintenance and automation teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Serves as the highest level of in-house engineering support, requiring strong problem-solving skills. Work effectively in a team environment, adapting to new technologies and industry advancements.
Ensure compliance with food safety and product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Efficiency
Design and implement strategies to improve process efficiencies in filler and packaging operations.
Reduce production costs while enhancing product quality, safety, and yield.
Use Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma) to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
Engineering & Project Management
Develop conceptual designs and floor plans for packaging equipment.
Plan layouts for piping, equipment, and utilities related to engineering changes.
Conduct research, perform technical studies, and lead production trials.
Transition capital projects from engineering to production, ensuring smooth implementation.
Technical & Regulatory Compliance
Maintain and update documentation for equipment and process changes.
Review and critique proposed modifications, submittals, and designs.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, advising internal teams as needed.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead design teams during the conceptual phase of project development.
Develop action plans, estimate resource needs, and manage project timelines.
Assess vendors' capabilities and negotiate contracts and bid documents.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Oversee project execution, ensuring budget, schedule, and performance goals are met.
Prepare detailed monthly reports on project progress and cost analysis for senior management.
Uphold safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
