Global Service Resources, Inc., a leading Healthcare staffing company has an opening for a Rehab Therapy Tech / Aide at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar, CA.
Schedule : Monday - Friday
Shift : Full-time, Day shift 8am-4 : 30pm
Pay Rate : $22 / hr.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Work under the direct supervision of a physical therapist or assistant.
- Perform clerical tasks, such as completing necessary paperwork and dealing with clients over the phone.
- Assist the practice in a variety of technical, non-clinical capacities, including treatment setups and routine patient care tasks.
- Assist therapists in the movement and transfer of patients with mobility impairments, and must be trained in proper methods of body mechanics for patient assistant (Ex. transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs and shuttling them to areas in the hospital.)
- Maintain and clean medical equipment, interact with staff and patients.
- Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his / her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.
