Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Global Smile Foundation in the search for a Senior Director of Development.

Reporting to the President & Co-Founder, the Senior Director of Development will be responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that drives sustainable revenue growth and aligns with the organization's mission. The Senior Director will focus on expanding and diversifying funding sources through major gifts, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and institutional grants, while minimizing fundraising costs. The Senior Director will lead donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, fostering high-level engagement and personalized relationships with key donors. In addition to overseeing fundraising operations, including proposal development, donor solicitations, and grant applications, the Senior Director will collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership to leverage connections and enhance fundraising efforts. The Senior Director will ensure alignment between fundraising strategies and financial goals and provide oversight of the budgeting and financial forecasting process. As a team leader, the Senior Director will inspire and develop a high-performing fundraising team, while partnering with international teams to enhance global fundraising efforts. The Senior Director should possess excellent communication skills to manage donor relations, public relations, and event planning, while utilizing data analytics to refine strategies and measure campaign effectiveness. Through these efforts, the Senior Director will support the organization's growth, visibility, and long-term financial stability.

Global Smile Foundation provides comprehensive care for patients born with cleft lip / palate in underserved communities throughout the world and delivers training to cleft providers in these areas. Outreach medical programs are currently located in El Salvador, Ecuador, Lebanon, and Per. In the past, GSF has worked in Guatemala, Morocco, Brazil, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Niger, India, Burkina Faso, and Mali. GSF is an approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. For the past 38 years, Global Smile Foundation Founders (GSF) and volunteers have been dedicated to providing patients with the best possible long-term and interdisciplinary cleft care. GSF returns to the same locations annually and is thus able to provide individualized follow-up care for patients and a continuity of care. The GSF approach enables the facilitation of the best health outcomes for patients and gives them the opportunity to live full, productive lives without the burdens of cleft. In addition to surgical procedures, comprehensive care includes pre-surgical dental orthopedics; feeding and nutrition counseling; dental and orthodontic treatment; speech therapy; and psychosocial support. Patients and their families also receive education and information about post-op care, nutrition, and cleft prevention.

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least seven to ten years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including familiarity with global and public health, is preferred for this position. Global Smile Foundation will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 annually.
