What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volleyball Program Coordinator position at Global Sports Institute?
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Volleyball Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the coordination, implementation, and administration of the volleyball program at GSI. The specific duties of the Volleyball Coordinator will include program development, implementation, and management, participation in staff development. They will be the liaison with coaches, parents, collaborators, and visitors to display the site and the program positively.
The Volleyball Coordinators will work either 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday or 1:00-9:00 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00AM-2:00 PM Saturday, and 2:00-6:00PM on Sunday.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Initiate, develop, and implement volleyball club calendar, using Sports Engine Motion
Oversee and implement organized in house tournaments.
Market, develop and advertise in house tournaments.
Communicate and interact with parents & staff.
Meet and coordinate with program staff and directors.
Monitor use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
Knowledge of emergency plans & safety protocols.
Will be required to attend in house volleyball tournaments.
Risk Management and Maintenance
Ensure adherence to appropriate standards and procedures.
Ensure a clean, healthy, safe, positive environment is created and maintained, producing a sense of physical and emotional safety.
Ensure that facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
It is preferred that the Volleyball Coordinator have programs.
Extensive knowledge of volleyball rules, regulations and procedures for league organization required.
It is preferred that the Volleyball Coordinator possess excellent computer skills; have the ability to effectively track data and produce reports.
It is preferred that the Volleyball Coordinator possess effective communication skills and sound administrative.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to utilize gym equipment and/or machinery. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and policy manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. The ability to clearly and concisely exchange/receive ideas, facts, and/or technical information with others. The contractor is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
