ICS/SCADA Expert

GSE is currently seeking an ICS/SCADA Expert to join the Cybersecurity Assurance team. This role focuses on securing IT and OT networks, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing protective measures for critical systems. The ICS/SCADA Expert will be responsible for providing in-depth technical expertise in assessing and fortifying control systems, ensuring their operational resilience.  

This position involves working closely with energy professionals to evaluate system efficiency and resilience, ensuring operational safety and security. The role supports U.S. Army installations and requires extended travel to CONUS locations. 

To be qualified, the candidate MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret Clearance with the ability to receive a Top Secret Clearance with SCI access. 

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct vulnerability scans and operational diagnostics on ICS/SCADA systems. 

• Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate security risks and improve system performance. 

• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe and effective operation of ICS systems. 

• Implement and document solutions for identified vulnerabilities within ICS/OT environments. 

• Conduct supply chain risk assessments specific to ICS hardware and software components. 

• Serve as a technical advisor for the integration of advanced security features into ICS environments. 

Required Qualifications: 

• B.S. in Engineering, ICS, or a related field. 

• 5 years of experience in ICS/OT systems, including vulnerability assessments and diagnostics. 

• Proven experience working with industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, or BACnet. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Familiarity with ICS/SCADA tools and systems, including Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Honeywell. 

• Experience with integrating ICS systems into secure operational environments. 

• Background in implementing cybersecurity measures within ICS networks. 

• Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks associated with foreign-made components.
