Global Technical Systems (GTS) provides innovative, cost-effective, high-tech engineering products and product-based services encompassing latest generation software and hardware solutions and engineering services for defense, homeland security, and other critical Government interests. GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes: mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair. Configuration Analyst I

General Description:
Responsible for performance of all assigned tasks to include: analysis of change to product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function. Coordinates with customers and manufacturers to determine a process for change reporting. Determines and prepares documentation necessary for change management. Coordinates with systems engineering, supply chain management and logistics personnel in performance of assigned tasks as part of design and development phase, as well as a successful Life Cycle. Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures as related to DOD Configuration Management. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks as assigned in completion of department and company objectives. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Engineering teams
- Perform Configuration Management processes as required to support contract requirements to include: Configuration Identification, Configuration Change documentation, Configuration Status Accounting and Configuration Verification and Audit
- Report to management schedule and performance of assigned projects
- Support meetings by developing presentation material, attending and participating, and reporting on results
Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years related experience
Educational Requirements (or equivalent):
- High School Diploma

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Effective communication-both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment
- Understand specifications and standards applicable to assigned projects and develop plan of action for completion of applicable tasking
- Experience with engineer change request process for DoD (Knowledge of MRP system Deltek Costpoint system preferred)
- Ability to quickly assess risk, problems, and issues and develop recommended solutions
- Demonstrating an understanding of Life Cycle Support requirements for DoD systems
- Read and understand TDP drawings and generate Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Thorough understanding of applicable specifications, standards and terminology as required to perform assigned tasking
- MS Office, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
- ISO Auditor
- ISO 9001:2008 experience preferred
