Job Title: Audiovisual Technician
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Pay rate: Upto $33/hr
Location: Boston, MA
Work Type: Onsite - Part-time (Evening Events) 25hrs/week
Description:
Join our dynamic team as an Audiovisual Technician and provide essential AV support for lectures, panels, rentals, and live music performances in a 300-seat venue. You'll work closely with our Audiovisual Technician and Front-of-House team to ensure seamless technical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate audio boards in a live sound environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various audio software and platforms.
- Understand signal flow for audio/video and control systems.
- Utilize computer skills in Mac OS and Windows environments.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Dropbox, or similar tools for record-keeping and communication.
- Quickly learn new technologies, software, and products.
- Work independently, follow directions, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in fast-paced situations.
Requirements:
- Prior knowledge and experience in AV support.
- Familiarity with operating audio boards in a live sound environment.
- Basic knowledge of different audio software and platforms.
- Knowledge of signal flow for audio/video and control systems.
- Computer skills in Mac OS and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Dropbox, or similar tools.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, software, and products.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
Preferred Skills:
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for AV hardware, software, and network systems.
- Experience with multi-camera live streaming (Vmix, OBS, etc.) or video editing.
- Experience with basic video networking, including NDI.
- Experience and knowledge of ETC ION/EOS family computer lighting consoles or comparable systems.
Additional Information:
- Part-time, evening events-driven schedule.
- 25 hours per week.
- On-site work required.
