- Subject matter expertise in understanding government regulations with a primary focus on EAR, and Customs requirements.
- Ensure compliance with EAR, and Customs regulations including providing compliance guidance to both internal and external customers
- Daily collaboration with internal/external parties to monitor and facilitate compliance and due diligence on exports
- Work with shippers, and freight forwarders to ensure all information and/or documentation is compliant and received timely for import and export declarations and processes
- Request/obtain BIS Export License for exportation of goods
- Serve as the internal functional expert for exports to China
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform duties with minimum supervision or direction while remaining a team player
- 3-5 years of customs and international trade compliance experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral communication skills
- Able to function in a team environment
- Results-oriented
- Excellent writing skills
- Very strong attention to details
- Advanced skills and expertise using SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel
- Export license management, documentation, and recordkeeping
